This was one of the most economical expandable phone answering systems I could find. I agree with the overall highly rated reviews. This replaces a Vtech unit for me and sound quality wise it's way better. Also, the Panasonic uses normal AA rechargeable batteries. So you won't have to go hunting for some specialty battery when it needs to be replaced. The only gripe I have is that the phone menus are not laid out in a very accessible manner. It takes extra keystrokes to do everything - storing contact numbers to deleting caller ID lists. Other than that, the phone seems to function perfectly. Small footprint, well designed, not much opportunity to misplace...
