I use this phone around my home. I love the talking caller id feature. The phones are lightweight and I find the buttons are big and clearly marked. The system uses energy saving technology. I had a cheap cordless phone that worked, but friends would sometimes complain about the sound quality. I went hunting for a new phone with my number one priority being the sound quality. I chose this phone because of the advertising of HD Audio. What is HD Audio? My take is that VTech is using HD to mean superior sound, because high definition does mean high quality resolution for video and it should mean robust sound for audio if it's going to be used.
